Hotel Madera is a 100% smoke free environment. The hotel will assess a $300.00 deep cleaning charge to any guestroom in which smoking occurs.

We don’t offer a business center, but if you need information, or need to scan, print, or fax any document, our front desk team would be happy to do it.

We do! All shoots are at the discretion of the hotel and require at least 48 hours notice, proof of insurance and a signed waiver. Location fees start at $500. To inquire about a shoot please contact [email protected] for availability and more information.

WiFi (normally $14.95 per night) is included in the nightly amenity fee for up to 5 devices per room.

The Hotel Madera does not have a pool. Though we are walking distance to Rock Creek Park’s walking and biking trails.

Capital Bikeshare has several bike rental stations within few blocks of the hotel. Please see the front desk for a map or directions. BIRD, LIME, SPIN, SKIP, LYFT and JUMP all have scooters easily accessible throughout the city, check their respective apps for pricing and proximity. Hotel has 3 bicycles which is on first come basis for maximum 4 hours

Our brand new fitness center has free weights, 2 MATRIX Treadmills, a Peloton bike, a MATRIX Rowing Machine and a full compliment of Free Weights.  The Fitness Center is available 24/7, access is controlled by your guestroom key.

Valet Parking is available from the main entrance of the hotel at 1310 New Hampshire Ave. NW, Washington DC, 20036. The cost for overnight valet parking is $55.00 per night plus the 18% DC parking tax and for oversized vehicles is $65.00 plus the 18% DC parking tax. It includes unlimited in/out service.

Please note that Valet Parking is 24 hours.

Self parking is available as several public garages in the area and ranges from $28 – 38 overnight, plus tax. Overnight Street parking is not recommended in Dupont Circle, due to limited availability in the neighborhood.

Hotel Madera is only a short 2 block walk from the Dupont Circle Metro Station and sits on the main DC Circulator bus route as well.

Hotel Madera has pullout sofas in over 1/2 of our King rooms. Rollaways are available for $25 per night, though not all of our rooms can accommodate them. Please inquire with the front desk for details. Hotel Madera offers pack-n-plays at no charge.

If you made a reservation using a non-Hotel Madera website, please contact your service provider directly to make any changes to your reservation.

Reservations must be canceled at least 48 hours prior to your arrival date at 3:00 PM local hotel time to avoid a one night’s room and tax charge to your credit card.

Guests must be at least 21 years old with a valid government issued ID and a valid credit card to check in to the Hotel Madera.

Late Check Out requests can be directed to the front desk and are honored on a space available basis. Late check out after 5pm, will incur a 1/2 day charge.

A valid credit card and valid government issued photo ID are required to check in. Guests may choose to pay by credit card (AMEX, Master Card, VISA, Diners Club, Discover), cash or travelers checks at check out. We do not accept personal checks. The hotel is pet friendly and there are no pet restrictions. However, we request that during check in a pet waiver is completed and that the pet is crated or out of the room during housekeeping service.

Yes we do! We try our best to limit pets to our lower floors. Our 5th floor is home to our designated hypo-allergenic rooms, though any room can be made feather free upon request.

The closest dog walking park is Dupont Circle, though we are walking distance to the trails in Rock Creek park if you want an extended outing as well! The front desk can provide a map and directions.

You can apply gift cards to room rate charges by simply presenting your gift card at check-out to apply towards eligible charges.

Guests can use these towards reservations booked via the hotel’s website or by calling the hotel directly. Gift cards cannot be applied towards bookings made on a third party site, such as Expedia. Yes. Hotel Madera is an excellent place to stay during America 250. Located near Dupont Circle, the hotel provides a quieter neighborhood atmosphere while still being close to major celebration sites, historic landmarks, and transit routes that connect guests to events across the city.

 

Most major celebrations will take place around the National Mall, which is about 1.5 to 2 miles from Hotel Madera. Guests can reach the Mall in roughly 10 minutes by car, 15 minutes by Metro, or about 30 minutes on foot.

The official July 4 fireworks are typically launched near the National Mall. While technically walkable (about 30 minutes), most guests prefer to take the Metro or a short ride-share to get closer to the viewing areas.

The easiest way is the Washington Metro. The Washington Metro station at Dupont Circle is just a short walk from the hotel and connects guests to major celebration areas near the National Mall.

 

Hotel Madera does not typically operate a dedicated shuttle to large public events. However, the front desk team can assist with arranging transportation such as private car services or ride-shares.

Guests will have several options:

• Walking and bike-share programs throughout the city

Large road closures are expected around the National Mall and major monuments. Dupont Circle may experience heavier traffic, but it is generally outside the primary closure zone.

Yes. Hotel Madera offers on-site parking for guests. Because of the expected demand during America 250, reserving parking in advance is recommended.

Guests should plan to leave 2 to 3 hours before the fireworks to allow time for transportation, security checkpoints, and finding a good viewing spot.

Yes. Ride-share services operate throughout Washington, DC, although wait times and pricing may increase during peak celebration hours.

The hotel does not operate its own airport shuttle, but staff can arrange transportation to and from local airports including Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport and Washington Dulles International Airport.
