General
What is included in the $29 nightly Amenity Fee?

When is check in/check out time?
Check in is at 3:00 PM and check out is at 12:00 noon.
Do you allow smoking on property? In the rooms?
The Hotel Madera is a 100% smoke free environment. The hotel will assess a $300.00 deep cleaning charge to any guestroom in which smoking occurs.
Do you have a business center?
We don’t offer a business center, but if you need information, or need to scan, print, or fax any document, our front desk team would be happy to do it.
Do you allow photoshoots and filming?
We do! All shoots are at the discretion of the hotel and require at least 48 hours notice, proof of insurance and a signed waiver. Location fees start at $500. To inquire about a shoot please contact [email protected] for availability and more information.
Is there a charge for WiFi?
WiFi (normally $14.95 per night) is included in the nightly amenity fee for up to 5 devices per room.
Does the Hotel Madera have a pool?
The Hotel Madera does not have a pool. Though we are walking distance to Rock Creek Park’s walking and biking trails.
Does the Hotel have bikes or scooters?
Capital Bikeshare has several bike rental stations within few blocks of the hotel. Please see the front desk for a map or directions. BIRD, LIME, SPIN, SKIP, LYFT and JUMP all have scooters easily accessible throughout the city, check their respective apps for pricing and proximity.
What types of Equipment are available in the Fitness Center? What are the hours?
Our brand new fitness center has free weights, 2 MATRIX Treadmills, a Peloton bike, a MATRIX Rowing Machine and a full compliment of Free Weights. The Fitness Center is available 24/7, access is controlled by your guestroom key.
Transportation/Directions
Where can I park my car?
Valet Parking is available from the main entrance of the hotel at 1310 New Hampshire Ave. NW, Washington DC, 20036. The cost for overnight valet parking is $55.00 per night plus the 18% DC parking tax and for oversized vehicles is $65.00 plus the 18% DC parking tax. It includes unlimited in/out service.
Please note that Valet Parking is 24 hours.
Self parking is available as several public garages in the area and ranges from $28 – 38 overnight, plus tax. Overnight Street parking is not recommended in Dupont Circle, due to limited availability in the neighborhood.
Is Hotel Madera accessible by public transportation?
Hotel Madera is only a short 2 block walk from the Dupont Circle Metro Station and sits on the main DC Circulator bus route as well.

How do I view my reservation?

Are rollaways/cribs/playards allowed and available? Is there a charge?
Hotel Madera has pullout sofas in over 1/2 of our King rooms. Rollaways are available for $25 per night, though not all of our rooms can accommodate them. Please inquire with the front desk for details. Hotel Madera offers pack-n-plays at no charge.
I booked on a website other than the hotel website and I need to make a change to my reservation. How do I do this?
If you made a reservation using a non-Hotel Madera website, please contact your service provider directly to make any changes to your reservation.
What is your cancellation/deposit policy?
Reservations must be canceled at least 24 hours prior to your arrival date at 3:00 PM local hotel time to avoid a one night’s room and tax charge to your credit card.
What is the minimum age requirement to check into the room?
Guests must be at least 21 years old with a valid government issued ID and a valid credit card to check in to the Hotel Madera.
Do you have accessible rooms?
Yes, we have accessible rooms. Find out more about the accessible features of our rooms and our hotel.
Is there a late check out available? Is there a charge?
Late Check Out requests can be directed to the front desk and are honored on a space available basis. Late check out after 5pm, will incur a 1/2 day charge.

If I have a question about my bill or need a copy of it who do I call?
Please call the main hotel line (202) 296-7600, and speak with the front desk.
What forms of payment does the Hotel accept? What is the incidental authorization policy?
A valid credit card and valid government issued photo ID are required to check in. Guests may choose to pay by credit card (AMEX, Master Card, VISA, Diners Club, Discover), cash or travelers checks at check out. We do not accept personal checks. Please note the hotel will authorize your card for $100 per night in addition to your anticipated room and tax.
Pets
Are pets allowed? Are there restrictions for weight, height or types?
The hotel is pet friendly and there are no pet restrictions. However, we request that during check in a pet waiver is completed and that the pet is crated or out of the room during housekeeping service.
Do you have pet free rooms for those with allergies?
Yes we do! We try our best to limit pets to our lower floors. Our 5th floor is home to our designated hypo-allergenic rooms, though any room can be made feather free upon request.
Do you have pet sitting or dog walking services?
We can recommend several reputable providers here in the neighborhood. Please contact the front desk for more details.
How far do you have to walk to take your pet out?
The closest dog walking park is Dupont Circle, though we are walking distance to the trails in Rock Creek park if you want an extended outing as well! The front desk can provide a map and directions.

How do I book a meeting?

Firefly Dining
What are the hours of the restaurant/bar/lounge and what kind of food does it serve?
Firefly serves modern American cuisine. Reservations are recommended; please call 202-861-1310.
Dinner
Wednesday – Saturday 5:30 to 10:00 PM.
Brunch
Saturday 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
Sunday 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM
Do I need a reservation?
Reservations are not required, but preferred. Walk-ins are welcome!
Is there parking?
Guests may utilize valet parking or street parking.
What is your maximum party size for regular reservations?

Does Firefly offer catering?

Do you offer Happy Hour?
Yes, we offer Happy Hour in Firefly every Monday-Friday from 4-6pm.
Is there a private dining room for events at Firefly?

Are dogs permitted?
Service animals and Emotional Support Dogs are allowed in the Patio and Lobby area.
Do you offer takeout?
Yes, please call 202-861-1310 to place an order for pick up.
Are you able to accommodate allergies/dietary restrictions?
We take dietary restrictions/allergies very seriously. If you make a reservation, you may note them in your notes section on Resy. Our host will notify the server of your table. As a guest, you are more than welcome to notify your server as well.

Do you have a kids menu?
